A few ways to tell I'm not in California anymore:
- the native residents think temperatures in the low 70's warrant long pants, socks, and a fleece sweatshirt
- 99% of the cars have an Arizona license plate
- there is no ocean within 45 minutes drive
- flower gardens are rare; rock & cactus gardens abound
- traffic? what traffic?
Regardless of the changes, most of them are good ones. I'm blessed to be living with 2 great girls who have graciously and generously opened their home to me for 4 months! I've met some great people, and I'm enjoying some great weather, and I'm learning how to be a midwife!
